| Tips for Selling an RV Trailer
1) Create a selling strategy. Select 4-5 of the advertising methods listed below. Be actively involved. Try to sell it fast. People will be more interested in buying a trailer 'for sale by owner’ if they think it can sell quickly and they might miss out on a great deal. 2) Clean and deodorize the trailer. Be sure to fix any minor cosmetic or mechanical defects that would keep someone from buying that RV.3) When someone comes to look at the trailer you are selling, give them a flyer explaining all the features and benefits. If you are selling it at a good price, try to have a few other price comparisons for similar trailers on the flyer. Get their phone number and follow up. 4) Don't be afraid to talk to everyone you know about buying the trailer, including family, neighbors, and friends. You'd be surprised when you turn over an interested buyer. (This also works great when selling used cars.) 5) In some states trailer sales are seasonal. Try to time your sell in the season when most people would be using the trailer. Advertise especially well during the spring and summer. 6) Be ready and willing to negotiate with any serious offer.
